My name is Edwin Helder, and I am a Group Tutor at Alder Tree.

My interest in Steiner Education began some 14 years ago when my children attended the Steiner Academy Hereford. After one year of Kindergarten training in London, I decided to change to become a class teacher and completed my training in August 2020.

I am originally from The Netherlands but have been in the UK for over 25 years. After 13 years in the Dutch Forces and over 20 years as an osteopath, I have finally found my passion and meaning!

I also feel incredibly lucky to be part of the Alder Tree team. When asked, “why become a Waldorf Teacher?” I tend to quote a Kindergarten teacher who said: “If you want to make a difference in the world, I cannot think of anything more relevant for these times than to become a Waldorf Steiner Teacher”.
