Through my (35 year) long association with Steiner/Waldorf education, I support any initiative which allows the fruits of this education to influence the future of humanity through upcoming generations.
My name is Martin Back, and I am a Group Tutor at Alder Tree.
State school trained (QTS specialising in Maths since 2013).
Steiner Waldorf trained (London Waldorf Teacher Training Seminar since 1992).
Worked in 7 Steiner Waldorf schools over 16 years, 7 years as Class Teacher; 15 as US Science and ‘all-school religion’ (ethics, life stories) teacher.
Worked in over 12 state schools (as a Science and Maths teacher).
Employed as cross-curricular Environment Coordinator (for a large secondary Technology College).
Worked as a GCSE and A Level Science teacher in over 12 state schools and tutored in a variety of educational settings.
Worked as Project Leader and Manager of Young People’s Outreach project for Health Promotion in the NHS.
Part-time youth club leader
Initiated a Steiner Waldorf Kindergarten in Wanganui, New Zealand in 1988.
Passionate about bringing Steiner’s indications in education and initiatives which inform the evolution of human beings to the current generation of children and adults respectively.
Lifelong lover of living with nature and enjoys passing this on to others through survival camps, rambling and outdoor pursuits.
